Mark your calendars, Springfield, Ohio. You’ll once again be a mobile cuisine hotspot in 2015.

After its wildly successful inaugural event last year, the Springfield Rotary Club has confirmed its Gourmet Food Truck Competition will return this summer. Forty food truck vendors, live entertainment and more will roll back into Veteran’s Park on Aug. 15, 2015 to please the palates of hungry citizens, compete for big prizes and help raise funds for Rotarian causes.

Planning for this year’s event is in the early stages, but organizers expect much to stay the same (such as the week and time of the event), while also implementing some changes after the 2014 event, which drew thousands of attendees.

Updates on the 2015 competition, including details on the competition, applications for food truck vendors, sponsorships and more will be posted on springfieldfoodtruck.com, and shared to the event’s Facebook Page and Twitter Account.

  1. Awesome for Springfield. I really hope that they change the site or deal w the crowding issue as it was overpopulated to say the least!
