Local Bands to Entertain at Gourmet Food Truck Competition

Those attending the Springfield Rotary Gourmet Food Truck Competition Aug. 15 will enjoy much more than delectable delights from mobile kitchens. Six local bands will grace the event stage throughout the day, treating mobile diners to a variety of music.

The Ark Band

THE ARK BAND plays roots reggae, calypso & soca music. Based out of Columbus Ohio with members hailing from St.Lucia, Sierra Leone, Ghana, & U.S.A. Combining heavenly harmonies with tight crisp performances, this powerhouse of talent captures their audiences with their very first note. THE ARK BAND’s repertoire combines original and cover compositions with classic and current reggae hits designed to entertain, educate and enlighten all types of people. THE ARK BAND continues to be a dynamic force on the American scene after two decades, their songs expressing the love, peace, togetherness and spirituality needed in our world today!


The Hugely Brothers

The Hugely Brothers are a local rock band.

Mad River Railroad

Mad River Railroad from Dayton, Ohio plays bluegrass/newgrass music to include banjo, bass, mandolin, fiddle and guitar. Listen to some of their music here.


Matt Rees

Matt has been performing as a professional bass player for a few years with Columbus, Ohio based bands – some with local shows, others with extensive international tours. Writing many songs along the way, Matt has been playing solo acoustic shows around Central Ohio, giving out CDs and networking with other artists.
