Local Ales Added to Beer Garden Selection at Fourth Annual Food Truck Competition

In the spirit of celebrating Springfield at the city’s “must-taste event of the summer,” ales from Mother Stewart’s Brewing Company will be added to the beer garden selection to complement the food truck cuisine at the fourth annual Springfield Rotary Gourmet Food Truck Competition on Aug. 12.

“Mother Stewart’s craft beer selection is going to be big draw at this year’s competition, not only to those in Springfield who have overwhelmingly embraced this local brewery but to all of the beer connoisseurs in the Miami Valley area,” said Eddie Bell, Rotary member and Food Truck Competition marketing committee chair. “Food from 38 different trucks plus craft beer is the perfect combination.”

Featuring a taproom and an outdoor beer garden of its own where food trucks often set up shop on the weekends, Mother Stewart’s is a family-owned business located in downtown Springfield that offers an extensive selection of craft beers inspired by American and European tastes.

“We are excited to share Springfield’s hidden gem at the competition and partner with the Springfield Rotary Club,” said Kevin Loftis, Mother Stewart’s co-owner and head brewer. “Mother Stewart’s is about drinking locally, enjoying great beer and taking in all our city has to offer.”

The fourth annual Springfield Rotary Gourmet Food Truck Competition is set for Aug. 12 from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Veterans Park.
