Attendees at the seventh Springfield Rotary Gourmet Food Truck Competition will experience much more than competitors’ gourmet, on-the-go recipes. Accompanying the array of delicious food will be the marquee college football matchup of the weekend and three musical artists throughout the competition on Sept. 11 in Veterans Park.
The entertainment at this year’s event includes:
Ohio State vs. Oregon on the Jumbotron sponsored by Crabill Family Foundation – 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Nothing pairs better with a great football game than fantastic food and ice cold drinks. Those attending the competition will be able to enjoy all three thanks to an 11’x17′ Jumbotron added to this year’s event. The giant screen will feature the marquee college football event of the weekend, with The Ohio State University going head-to-head with the University of Oregon. Kickoff is slated for 12 p.m.
Factory Line – 3:30-4:45 p.m.
- Patric Dawson – Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar
- Jared Oder – Lead & Rhythm Guitar
- Benjamin Miller – Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals
- Christopher Wilke – Drums & Percussion/Backing Vocals

“The entertainment line-up is just as important to us in bringing attendees to the park as the food trucks,” said Eddie Bell, Rotary member and Food Truck Competition marketing chair. “The entertainment lineup will attract sports fans and music fans, delivering something for everybody to enjoy in addition the fantastic food and drinks available all day long.”
