After a one-year hiatus, more than two dozen food trucks rolled into Veterans Park in Springfield Saturday, marking the return of the Springfield Rotary Gourmet Food Truck Competition for a seventh year. But only one of them rolled out of town with an extra $10,000.

After having to cancel last year’s event, the Springfield Rotary Gourmet Food Truck Competition is back for a seventh year, featuring palate-pleasing mobile cuisine and live entertainment in an environment that is fun for all ages. The community-favorite event will run from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11 at Veterans Park in Springfield.

Football fans will be able to enjoy the marquee college football matchup of the weekend on a giant screen at this year’s competition.
Attendees at the seventh Springfield Rotary Gourmet Food Truck Competition will experience much more than competitors’ gourmet, on-the-go recipes. Accompanying the array of delicious food will be the marquee college football matchup of the weekend and three musical artists throughout the competition on Sept. 11 in Veterans Park.
Attendees at this year’s Springfield Rotary Gourmet Food Truck Competition will once again have all the information they’ll need to enjoy the day in their pocket and at their fingertips with the mobile app designed to compliment the fifth annual event. The app is also the only way to vote for the People’s Choice Award Winner.

We are a new addition to the food truck scene. We sell bbq with a southern twist and are gaining popularity in Clark and surrounding counties. We started out last year doing daily food permits and we built our own trailer over the winter. We look forward to being a part of Clark County’s biggest event!
